Platt College opened as a branch of
a proprietary institution which began in 1879, one of the first business
colleges west of the Mississippi. Opening in Tulsa in 1979, Platt offered
courses in Drafting and Design. To keep current with rapid changes in
occupational trends, we have continued to provide practical
hands-on training to meet industry demands. Today, the school continues
to answer the needs of an ever-changing occupational job market by opening
additional locations.
Platt College is
incorporated under the laws of the State of Oklahoma. It is operated
by a Board of Directors and headed by a President. The name of the corporations
that operate each campus include: Engard, Inc. d.b.a. Platt College,
Tulsa, OK and Platt College (North Campus), Oklahoma City, OK. Structural
Controls Inc., which is owned by Engard, Inc, d.b.a. Platt College (Central
Campus), Oklahoma City, OK The corporate officers are the same for each
corporation and are: Michael A. Pugliese, President and M.C. Nielsen,
Vice President.
