Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant program is aimed at developing students for entry-level positions in General Dentistry Practice, Orthodontic Practice, Pediatric Dentistry, Endodontics, Oral Surgery and Periodontics. This program develops skills in front office, lab, chair-side assisting, radiology, and sterilization. Students will become CPR certified.
Upon completion of the program students will be eligible to sit for the radiation and safety certification.
The length of the Dental Assistant program is 7.4 months and consists of 800 clock hours and 51.25 quarter credit hours.
The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges requires schools to round quarter credits down to the nearest half number. Therefore, 51.00 quarter credit hours is recognized by the ACCSC for the Dental Assistant Program.
