Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician program consists of lectures, lab and externship training. Students completing the course will be proficient in the aseptic compounding of I.V. admixture products, unit dosage, solution preparations, medical and pharmaceutical terminology, pharmaceutical mathematics, pharmaceutical chemistry, handling and storage, drug distribution systems, and pharmacy record keeping.

Graduates from the Pharmacy Technician program are eligible to take the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam.

The length of the Pharmacy Technician program is 7.4 months and consists of 800 clock hours and 53.70 quarter credit hours.

 

 

 

 

The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges requires schools to round quarter credits down to the nearest half number.  Therefore, 53.50 quarter credit hours is recognized by the ACCSC for the Pharmacy Technician Program.
