North OKC Campus

Platt North provides spacious classrooms for students to learn.  Each program is provided with an industry related laboratory.  Medical Assistant and Nursing labs are equipped with a variety of equipment and instruments that will prepare students for the medical industry.  There are five kitchens, including numerous ovens, ranges, mixers, grills, and prep stations available for Culinary students.  This campus also has a student run restaurant to provide the Culinary students with an optimal experience for the industry. Students have access to a library, which contains books, periodicals, audio-visuals, and Internet access.  Two computer labs are also accessible for students.

Platt North is located on Memorial and North May just west of Quail Springs Mall.  Guests are invited to park in the south parking lot and enter through our main doors located on the south side of the building.  Platt North is open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday – Friday.

Two computer labs which are equipped with internet access, printers, and current software applicable for each career offered.  They are available to students during normal operating hours.  Tutoring is available within each program for those students needing extra support.  Job placement assistance is also available to current students and graduates. 

Medical assistant graduates acquire jobs all over the Oklahoma City metro area and Edmond.  Various specialty doctors ranging from pediatrics, OBGYN, asthma and allergy, cosmetic surgeons, etc. hire our students.  Nursing graduates are employed at local area hospitals, clinics, and physician offices.  Culinary arts graduates acquire jobs all over the United States.  Hotels, restaurants, nursing homes, resorts, casinos, and local franchises hire our students.  The position could range from a line cook to an executive chef.

May 22nd, 2010 11am to 2pm - Dining on the Champs-Elyees with Chef Tito

Ah Paris, the city of romance, designer clothing and grand cuisine.  Come and learn some of the classics of this great city.

June 26th, 2010 11am to 2pm - Kids in the Kitchen - Part I Super Snacks

June brings the first of three classes for kids.  This class will teach kids how to prepare healthy snacks that are easy and delicious.

July 24th, 2010 11am to 2pm - Kids in the Kitchen - Part II Pizza Party with Chef Katy

This installment of our kids classes will show you how to make pizza at home.  This is a great family bonding activity that keeps them smiling until the sandman comes.

August 21st, 2010 11am to 2pm - Kids in the Kitchen - Beginning to Bake with Chef Katy

Who needs an Easy-Bake Oven? Chef Katy will show the kids how to make cookies and cakes the right way.  After this you might want to lock up the flour and sugar!

September 25th, 2010 11am to 2pm - Football Feasting - Beyond the Tailgate with Chef Pat

Down! Set! EAT! Here comes football season.  Learn how to wow your friends before the whistle blows.  Chef Pat will dial up the touchdown play, you just have to get to the end zone.

October 23rd, 2010 11am to 2pm - Ghouls, Goblins and Goodies - Halloween Party Food

If you want to throw a true monster mash then this class is for you! Learn some spine-tingling good food for this Halloween.

November 20th, 2010 11am to 2pm - Turkey and all the Trimmings with Chef Arly

Thinking of cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the first time? Looking to change some things from last year?  Chef Arly will show you how to make that classic American Dinner everyone will talk about all winter.

December 11th, 2010 11am to 2pm - Holiday Gifts with Chef Katy

Need to find some gifts fast? Chef Katy will teach you a few great gift ideas that come from your home kitchen.
