The Culinary
Arts
program is a comprehensive, twelve-month associate degree program offering
students a broad-based culinary education including theory and practical
instruction through extensive activities in state-of-the-art laboratory
kitchens.
The student will gain valuable experience in both the front and back
of the house in the student operated fine dining restaurant.
The
educational objective of the degree program is to provide the student
with a thorough understanding of the culinary arts including competencies
that will prepare the student for industry certification. Upon completion,
the graduate will be eligible for entry-level positions in food service
operations including hotels, resorts,
restaurants,
caterers, hospitals, institutional and contract feeding sites, and
other commercial food service establishments. The Culinary Institute
of Platt College AOS Culinary Arts Program is the only Associates Degree
Culinary Arts Program in Oklahoma that is accredited by the American
Culinary Federation Accrediting Commission .
