(RN, BSN):
Associate Degree of Nurse Science RN
The Nurse Science program is a transitional program
for a licensed practical nurse to complete the Associate Degree of
Nurse Science in an accelerated format. Two program tracks are available
for the student. The full-time program that may include all general
education courses at Platt College is designed for completion in 12
months. The part-time program, including general education courses,
is designed for completion within 22 months.
Platt College Nurse Science program is dedicated to providing quality nursing
education that develop individuals who value life-long intellectual, personal,
and professional growth necessary for success in the ever-changing nursing
profession in a culturally diverse global community.
The educational objective of the degree program is to provide the student with
a thorough understanding of nurse science and to prepare the student for success
in the national licensure exam, NCLEX-RN. Upon successful passing of the NCLEX-RN,
the graduate will be qualified to work as a registered nursing in any healthcare
setting. The curriculum is designed to meet the health care needs of the community
while addressing the critical shortage of registered nurses.

Bachelor’s
of Science Degree, RN-to-BSN
The RN-to-BSN program is a transitional program for a licensed RN to
complete the Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing while working as an RN. The program
is designed to be completed in 18 months, attending class two evenings a week. Any
clinical requirements may be fulfilled in an arranged format.
Platt College RN-to-BSN program is designed to assist RNs with career opportunities
a BSN degree may offer. The curriculum is designed to enhance the knowledge
base an RN already possesses. Applicants should have a current unencumbered
Oklahoma RN license.
