Associate of Occupational Studies in Practical Nursing
This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level jobs in Practical Nursing. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the health care community. Upon successfully completing the written state licensing exam, graduates can work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a licensed physician to provide skilled nursing care to selected patients.
The length of the program is 11 months and consists of 1570 clock hours and 102.75 quarter credit hours.
The Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges requires schools to round quarter credits down to the nearest half number. Therefore, 102.50 quarter credit hours is recognized by the ACCSC for the AOS Nursing Program.
