Vocational Nursing
The vocational nursing program is designed
to prepare students without educational background beyond high school or
GED for an entry-level job as a vocational nurse. The curriculum is designed
to meet the needs of the health care community. Upon successfully completing
the written state licensing exam (NCLEX), graduates can work under the
supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed physician to provide skilled
nursing care to selected patients.
The length of the program is 13.5 months and consists of 1582 clock hours and 100 quarter credit hours.
